Community
Reliance is an enthusiastic supporter of community, voluntary and charitable endeavour which fits well with our business aims and those of our customers. We believe strongly that successful and supportive communities are good for business.
There are huge and exciting opportunities for the government to embark on a new beginning in the delivery of public services. There is scope for imaginative and powerful service delivery partnerships between the public and private sector and particularly attractive opportunities to combine the expertise of charities and voluntary organisations. We are actively working to encourage this and to provide working models which command public support.
As part of these activities, Reliance has been delighted to sponsor such organisations as The Prince’s Trust and The Lionheart Challenge, which is a nationwide programme involving school pupils and businesspeople. This provides an exciting, risk-inspired and ‘hands-on’ experience of entrepreneurial business which challenges pupils to use their individual skills and talents while also making them work as a committed ‘team of professionals’.
The Reliance Prize for Enterprise and Innovation at Brunel University again created the highlight of the annual ‘Made In Brunel’ International design exhibition.
