Offender Services Partnership

Reliance is a member of The Offender Services Partnership - a group of organisations in the private, not-for-profit and third sectors who have come together to meet the challenge of managing offenders to reduce crime and protect the public. In addition to Reliance, three other organisations are involved in this partnership – Crime Concern, Strode College and Tomorrow’s People.

Crime Concern

Reliance is a long-standing supporter of Crime Concern – a social business with over 18 years experience of tackling crime, the fear of crime and delivering sustainable community safety solutions. Crime Concern manages over 50 neighbourhood projects nationwide in some of the country’s most deprived and crime ridden communities. Working in partnership with the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) and the Probation Service, Crime Concern aims to raise the capacity of local voluntary and community groups to deliver high quality services to offenders. The ultimate goal is to reduce offender drop out, deliver unpaid work programmes and create sustainable work opportunities.

Strode College

Strode College has delivered education and training to offenders in the South West for over 30 years. In 2003 it gained a Beacon Award for the delivery of oral communication courses in prisons and now employs over 330 teaching staff in 13 prisons delivering 156,000 teaching hours a day.
