Restorative Solutions Community Interest Company
We work on a not-for-profit basis to promote the use of restorative justice interventions to deal with crime, anti-social behaviour and reducing re-offending.
Our mission is to enable front line workers, through training and support, to use restorative approaches to give a better service to victims and communities and to reduce the risks of re-offending in the future.
We registered as a Community Interest Company in February 2007 after three years development work.
We are currently working with:
• 14 x police forces in England & Wales to introduce restorative approaches into the work of neighbourhood policing teams; this involves training 50 neighbour sector teams with workers from their partner agencies.
• 4 x Young Offender Institutions introducing restorative approaches for dealing with internal discipline issues including bullying, fighting and racist attacks.
• 6 x schools in Bristol to use restorative approaches to reduce the use of exclusions and improve attainment.
• Prolific offenders in Bristol to reduce the risks of re-offending in the future.
• Three registered social housing landlords to resolve disputes between neighbours.
