To provide support to an efficient and professional security service to the customer. Supporting the Manager to manage a team of trained personnel to deliver a service that meets the customers requirements. Be the second contact for management of all security matters ensuring service delivery and adequate, prompt response to all on site incident.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Operations
Control all security operations in compliance with all Statutory, Company and
Customer standards and requirements
Site Manning
Plan schedules of shifts to be worked maintaining manning of sites at contracted levels, using regular shift patterns worked by trained, qualified staff
Arrange standby and replacement Security Officers when required from within the team
Liase when necessary with other Site Managers for exchange of standby Security Officers
Refer decisions on under-manning to Contract Manager
Staff Management
Provide both motivation, encouragement, coaching and development to staff
Produce written appraisals and performance records
Monitor and control staff performance, attendance and lateness
Maintain consistent disciplinary standards, ensuring the correct procedures
are followed and all records are maintained
Issue formal verbal warnings and suspensions, recommending written
warnings and dismissals to Contracts Manager
Recruitment
Monitor manpower requirements, recommending action to Security Manager
Respond to subsequent requests for screening or other information needed
Customer Care
Display an understanding level of customer focus and understand the reasons for it
Enforce access and egress procedures as laid down in assignment instructions in a polite but assertive manner
Be willing and able to take responsibility for problems that staff and visitors may have
To be able to communicate in spoken and written English to a high standard
Must be able to handle “aggressive behaviour”
Must be a “people” person with meet and greet skills
Able to identify and deal with VIP’s
Display the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Reliance and the Customer
Escort and chaperone VIP’s and visitors
Written Activities
Completing D.O.B
Maintaining logs and records of visitors/keys/deliveries and others
Health and safety records and incident reports
Hours - average 56 hours per week on a week rota pattern Salary £22,500.00 annually
