A Bracknell security team has been selected as a national winner in the Best Use of Technology category of the British Security Industry Association”s Annual Security Officer Awards.
The team, who work for Reliance Security Services, are based at BMW (UK)”s headquarters in Bracknell. The team was nominated for its work using a state-of-the-art security system, which includes CCTV, access control and intruder alarms. Not only has the team got to grips with this sophisticated technology, but they have also developed a comprehensive training package to ensure that new team members can be easily trained.
Phil Cornforth, National Account Manager for Reliance Security Services Ltd, comments: “The team”s enthusiasm for the technology and their willingness to learn is to be complimented as they have shown boundless energy in understanding the detail behind the function of the security equipment.”
“The team”s use of this new technology has proved a huge success,” says John Hall, Security Manager at BMW (UK) Ltd. “They have ensured that no vehicle related crime has occurred on site within the last eighteen months and they have identified a number of water leaks which, left undetected, could have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage. I congratulate them for their achievement.”
The team was presented with its award by x at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The awards – now in their eighth year - are sponsored by Camberford Law plc, specialist insurance brokers to the BSIA and the security industry.
