The varied contracts we operate require dedication, attention and specialised skills. Hence, vetting of employees - often including Home Office clearance - is followed by specific training programmes for each contract.

With leading-edge technology, each contract is fully maintained and protected to meet the most stringent standards within any industry. For example:

All operational processes are fully integrated with data back-up and protection systems. The data is routinely transferred off-site to a secure approved location.
Through regular consultation, data collection and analysis, each contract is continually measured and evaluated.
Efficiency indicators are used to identify variations in performance and cost effectiveness.
Regular reports and statistics are compiled for our customers' use.

The company is also vetted annually by the Inspectorate of the Security Industry (ISI). This inspection allows the ISI total access to operational records relating to every part of the company.

Accreditations & Awards

The accreditations we have received reinforce our framework for a planned approach to setting business objectives, communicating decisions and developing employees to meet the objectives.

ISO9002

The ISO9002 is a quality system standard applied to the processes which facilitate the delivery of services and or products. It enables suppliers to provide an assurance that they will be able to deliver improved efficiencies and fulfil agreed customer requirements.

In June 1999 Reliance Custodial Services became the first company in its market sector to achieve the ISO9002 accreditation for the Prisoner Escort and Custody Services contract. This demonstrates the depth of our commitment to continuous improvement for our systems and for our customers.

Charter Mark

Charter Mark is a government quality scheme aimed at modernising public services. Judgement is based directly on the service a customer receives and accreditation demonstrates that the customer is always the first priority and will receive high standards of service.

In January 2006 we were re-awarded Charter Mark status by the Public Services Group. As a private company carrying out work in the public sector we became one of the first companies in the private sector to be recognised in this manner.
