We have a number of vacancies at our various Custody Suites in the Thames Valley Police Force area.

You will ensure the well-being of people detained in custody in a safe, courteous and considerate environment; this will include movement between cells, monitoring the provision of food and administering permitted prescribed drugs. You will also carry out administrative tasks such as despatch of DNA samples, obtaining fingerprints or photographs and conducting searches.

In addition to intermediate IT abilities, you will need strong interpersonal skills and an eye for detail. Accurate, customer-focused and professional, you will need good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team is essential.

The salary for this role is £19,660.00, rising to £20,160.76 following successful completion of the training course. The role involves working 12 hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering a 24 hour operation, 365 days of the year.
