Contract Award - Kent Police Authority PFI

The Directors of Reliance are pleased to announce that Reliance Secure Task Management Limited (“RSTM”), a wholly-owned operating company, has been awarded, as part of a consortium, a 30 year Private Finance Initiative (“PFI”) contract from Kent Police Authority. This follows its appointment as preferred bidder for the contract, which was announced in March 2005.

The project involves the financing, design and construction of a Divisional Headquarters and 40 cell Custody Suite at Northfleet near Gravesend in North Kent. RSTM will provide a comprehensive range of support services, including buildings and estate management and maintenance, the operation of a public service counter, catering and hospitality, cleaning and waste management, police vehicle management, conference suite management and a lost and found property management and an evidential tape/disc service. It is estimated that the support services contract will generate turnover for RSTM of £1.3 million in a full year.
