For the third year running Reliance Secure Task Management Ltd will be sponsoring the British Police Symphony Orchestra. The BPSO, which consists of 85 members drawn from serving and retired police officers, police staff and family; have 7 main fixtures in 2007 and are often asked to play at additional events for charity.
“The BPSO is delighted to be continuing the artistic partnership with Reliance Secure Task Management. Thanks to Reliance’s support, we have been able to tour the UK with a range of exciting concerts with superb solo artists. The link with Reliance will enable us to further develop our concert and touring programme.” stated Dr. Timothy Brain, Chairman of the BPSO and Chief Constable of Gloucestershire Constabulary.
The first date this year is an event at Cheltenham Ladies College on Saturday 2nd June, a Concert of English Music in support of The Three Choirs Festival, the orchestra will play Holst - The Perfect Fool suite, Finzi - Cello Concerto, Elgar - Symphony no.3.

The orchestra is now in it’s 17th year of music making in which it has appeared at major venues throughout the UK and Northern Europe. It has given almost 100 concerts in which over 200 different works have been performed. The orchestra is a registered charity but performs frequently on behalf of other charities through which it has raised over £ 150,000 since it’s first appearance at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral in 1990.
