Police Standards Maintained

The British Police are renowned for operating to very high standards, so when they choose to outsource one of their functions they quite rightly expect the highest of standards.

This is exactly what happened when the Gloucestershire Police Authority and Gloucestershire Constabulary made the decision to procure their new Constabulary Headquarters under the Private Finance Initiative along with Gloucestershire FM Services Ltd, a consortium comprising Reliance Secure Task Management Ltd and Bank of Scotland Corporate.

Not only was the state-of-the-art building constructed on time and under budget in January 2006, but the lead company, Reliance Secure Task Management Ltd, who now look after the facilities management of the building and grounds, has also achieved ISO 9001 accreditation, an international standard for an organisation’s internal Quality Management to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers’ quality requirements and comply with any regulations applicable to those products or services. This recognition by an external body of high management standards and protocols has come after only a year of operation in the new police headquarters.
