Reliance Custodial Services is a principal trading division of Reliance Secure Task Management. It was formed in 1994 following legislation which privatised the transportation of prisoners to and from courts, prisons and police stations.

We operate contracts for;

• South West England and South Wales, from Plymouth to Birmingham and Reading to Bridgend
• The whole of Scotland where we are also responsible for the management welfare visits and hospital watches

In both contracts the work also includes the management of Court Custody for all levels of Court. Each contract, north and south of the border, is centred on a sophisticated 24 hour Control Centre with the latest routing technology. Our vehicles are fitted with Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking equipment which allows for efficient fleet management with constant monitoring and quick effective re-routing if necessary.

This unique configuration of a single control room with specifically developed software enables us to maintain a consistent and overall assessment of operational status and requirements within our contract area and beyond.

Reliance is also involved with police custody, prisons and immigration centres and YJB Juvenile transport.
